Yale Chinese Elite Forum, initiated by Association of Chinese Student and Scholars (ACSSY), is a talk series by the most prestigious academics who are currently working at Yale.
Being one of the largest international communities at Yale, ACSSY launches the monthly talk series to better facilitate its more than six hundred members in the greater China community in New Haven on their way and search of future career path.
The generation of students and scholars from Greater China region has been offered more and more opportunities in personal and professional development in the United States. While many of ACSSY members return and have returned to the native country after graduation, some would consider the possibility of working in the academia in the United States. Yet, challenges arise when we try to overcome language barriers, to adapt to the academic culture of the country and to strike a balance between work and life.
The talk series will serve as a platform of dialogue between the guest speakers and all students and scholars from the Greater China region. All speakers have made significant contributions in their field of study. And without a doubt their personal and professional development would be encouraging and inspirational to all.
